I drew a three line sketch (sky, horizon and field) of the sunflower fields in North Dakota as we drove through the state only a month
after Mom died - thinking it would make a good quilt. Eight months later after Dad died, I found a lone photo amidst the hundreds
of family photographs I was trying to organize. The image was just as you see here. I guess he loved the fields too.
